Rock Climbing Pedriza

Come to enjoy one of the best climbing spots in Spain! Hundreds of granite slabs where you will discover, with our Climbing Instructors, the smearing climbing technique. All over the year and while the Madrid Mountains are dry, we offer outdoor climbing trips in all difficulty levels. Patagonica´s climbing instructor will pick you up at the meeting point (previously agreed) at 9.00am, we will drive to Manzanares el Real which is the closest town to La Pedriza mountain Range (1 hour away from Madrid downtown) gear distribution and hike to the climbing crags (between 15'-45' deppending of the routes). The duration of the activity is approximately 6 hours, time enough to enjoy this granite paradise of the Guadarrama National Park! Return to Madrid at the agreed point about 6:00pm.

Rock Climbing Patones

Patones limestone rock and the large number of sport climbing routes, makes it one of the best places to climb near Madrid. The climb in Patones, due to the morphology of the rock, is more physical because most of the routes are vertical or with overhangs. There are routes of all levels in which a great rock climbing day is guaranteed. Patagonica´s climbing instructor will pick you up at the meeting point (previously agreed) at 9.00am, we will drive to "Patones de Abajo" which is the closest town to the climbing area (1 hour away from Madrid downtown) gear distribution and hike to the climbing crags (15 min). The duration of the activity is approximately 6 hours, we´ll try several sport routes , top roping or lead climbing, depending of the level of the climbers. Return to Madrid at the agreed point about 6:00pm.

Clothing suitable for mountaineering.

Sneakers / hiking boots.

Gloves and beanie (winter ) , Cap and sunglasses (summer).

Backpack (To carry water, food and some extra clothes).

Sunscreen.

Water (2Lts/pers) and snack type food (sandwich, nuts , energy bars )

Personal medication.

Mobile phone and camera.

Extra Clothes to leave in the car.
